Claire's Story

Claire is a Sydney based singer/songwriter with soul. With over 20 years experience performing both locally and internationally, her focus is on delivering a dynamic stage performance which has earned her the moniker 'The little hurricane'.

Her  strength in writing is as a lyricist and she writes songs that tell a story and touch the soul. Her music combines infectious pop hooks and dynamic vocals that float above a bed of sophisticated grooves. Her EP 'No Use' delivers Classic rock and R’n B elements, peppered with delicate stringed arrangements. This combines to create a fresh sound that brought acclaim when it was featured on NOVA FM's 'Unsigned Sydney'.

As well as the release of her EP, some career highlights have been performing to an audience of over 30,000 people at the 2010 Bledisloe Cup at Hong Kong Stadium and being a finalist in the prestigious Vanda and Young Song Writing Competition in 2013.

Currently performing in The Footy Show band 'The Nevilles' and her outfit, 'The Claire Cassidy Band.' Claire tours both nationally and internationally with Elvis to the Max and An American Trilogy.  She still finds time to work as a freelance vocalist in many varied acts around Australia. Inspired by a love of songwriting, Claire has plans to  record more original songs with an album in the works.
